It only makes sense that an elf takes the second shift. When he's rested and the rest of the party isn't. Bill doesn't mind. He just - isn't excited about this fact.
It's still odd. Being in a group where everyone else needs so much more sleep. There's no one to talk to in the early hours. Nothing to listen to except the high, clawing crackle of strange trees. Unknown creatures staring from the depths. Maybe just a deer, maybe... something else...
Then Kindinger volunteered to join him. That was a shock. Bill still can't figure it out. They're not exactly friends. Although they've survived goblins and Mercutio's drinking. Managed not to die too horribly underground. Perhaps they qualify.
Still. Of the party, Bill feels like he knows the least about the wizard. Hell. He gets on with Fionne better then Kindinger. And Fionne zapped him under a bush. Oh well. Strange company is better then none at all.
He's sewing by the fire, whenever Kindinger makes his way over. Looks up with an easy grin.
"Welcome to the Second Watch! Want some jerky?"
Thanks to their exploits, Bill's pretty much set for life on snacks.
